The importance of health

I'm not talking about health and pe, like what we all did in year 10. The one i failed.

Nope I'm actually talking about our actual HEALTH. like how healthy our bodies are.

I've unfortunately spent the last week and a half in bed, because I've been so sick i havnt been able to get out of it. And it is just making me think about how important taking care of our bodies is. I'm in yr 12, and its lucky its holidays or this would hav put me a week behind. But should this hav come at a different time, i would hav been buggered. But if I'm so worried about one year of my life, i should worry about the rest of it.

and step one is health. Taking care of our bodies.

I'm nearly 18, and its an important time. I dont smoke, i dont take drugs. But its more than that. Its eating better. Getting enough sleep. Taking time out when you need it. Getting exercise. Thing like that :)

now I'm not doctor or health specialist or whatever, but if we are healthy and take care of the one and only body we hav, we'll feel better on the inside, and this will radiate onto the out :)

Winners :)

Coz im a winner.. coz im a winner..

I've seriously had this song stuck in my head for the last week (doesnt help mine and Christie's favourite saying is "WINNER!" which results in the song running around my head regardless of whether or not it was there before). So anyways, i've only been up for about 3/4 of an hour, and have already had things that have reminded me of how much of a winner i am at life :)

Not meaning to sound modest AT ALL just wanted to share my morning with you :D

- We were watching Banana's in Pyjamas and on it... THERE WAS A YELLOW UMBRELLA! who ever knew i was so old school!
- My breakfast (cheese on toast) was made for me by my best :)

The Happiness Kit

ADVANCE WARNING: I may blog twice today, to make up for the last 2 week :D

So anyways, im at my bests house, and i havnt been here for ABSOLUTLEY ages. havnt been down south in ages either, but i really love it here. I spent they day running errands, with Christie and miss Jackwee, and spent the afternoon doing random things and really not thinking about what we were doing. it was amazing, i got my chance to step out of my shell and do things i never thought i could do. so i wanted to thanks my girls for that :)

BUT the real reason that i wanted to write about... is the happiness box. im sitting here in Christie's room getting ready to blog, and shes searching around her room putting stuff away, when she finds this box. Then suddenly she claims:

"Oh Chels! i have to show you this, it reminded me of your Blog so you have to look at it!"

And so she hands me a box. a little white box, with black and white ribbons on it, and with "Christie" written on the side. I opened it up, slightly confused to be honest, and inside was a little card labeled:

"Happiness Kit"

Then underneath it was written:
- An eraser to make mistakes disappear
- A rubber band to stretch yourself to the limits
- A coin so you never have to say you have no money
- A piece of string to tie things together when they fall apart
- A button to press in case of panic
- Marbles in case you lose yours
and a chocolate to remind you of the sweeter things in life

then underneath it was a little bag with all the things listed.

now, i knew right from the second i saw it that i would have to blog about it. But its only now that i realise the importance of it to me. Sure, its a little box of things that made me laugh and were kinda pretty funny and true, but seriously....

MY BEST FRIENDS DO ALL THESE THINGS.

They forgive me for the mistakes i make.
They push myself to my limits (sometimes a tad bit further)
They have shrapnel for me, just like i do them :)
They ARE the things that are keeping me together when things have fallen apart
They are the ones i do to when i panic.
They're the ones i lost the marbles with... so i suppose they cant really help with that...

And my best friends + chocolate = the sweetest things in life.

:)

Think i'll leave you to ponder that one :)

Double Frees :)

Double frees at my school, whilst we have not really managed the art of studying solidly in silence for the near hour and a half, are my most FAVOURITE times of year 12. Expecially now... My Tuesday frees have ALL of my friends in it.. Claire Bear is blogging after she finished her math, Becc's talking out loud with something to do with Chemisty, Ellens revising for the English exam and Thalia has her headphones in and is doing the same thing.

Matts been floating in and out.. and im saddened to say the packet of doritoes that were meant to get me through this free was gone about 30 minutes ago, and the coke bottle is half empty.

Oh look.. Jonnis just rocked up..

Anyway, Ellen just asked Matt if he ever does any work. And he's just paying me out about my usage of the word floating.

LOL at piggybacks in the downstairs studyroom :)

So yes.. double frees. they are funny. i like how most of the study is spent deciding what homework we're going to do during this free. I like how complete silence is broken because of one random sentence, or one weird noise, or one extra person coming in, and its usually broken with peals of laughter.

I like how silence is then recovered when a teacher walks in.

As much as im going to REGRET saying this, and im only going to say it once, but im going to MISS THIS.

Oh my gosh. i just said im going to miss an element of year 12.

But yes, im going to miss being able to hang out with my friends, stress with my friends, yell at my friends, laugh at my friends, BE WITH MY FRIENDS.

So im going to make the most of it, from now. hence why they all got a mention :)i love them all lots
